Studio J

Free is good. Zip, nada, zero, goose egg. That’s how much you’ll pay to receive one free JPG file of your own creation using Close to My Heart’s Studio J online scrapbooking program.

There’s nothing to buy and nothing to download. The program is so easy to use, if you can send an email with photos attached, you can use Studio J. Really.

If you need an account, it’s quick and painless. (And don’t worry, your information is completely safe, you won’t be added to any mailing lists.)

After you’ve created your layout, you can download and save your JPG file. Post it your blog or facebook, email it to friends and family, or send it out for printing. If you have a 12x12 printer, you can print it at home.

If you’d like to have the best quality printing with 100+ year processing, order your print through Close to My Heart. That’s totally optional though, the JPG is completely free with no strings attached.

This offer is good for the entire month of June, limit one JPG per customer. To get started, www.studioJ.com!

June 2011 Stamp of the Month

Sunday, June 5, 2011

I can't wait....this weekend I am going to my scrapbook cottage retreat.

A group of girls and I are going for the weekend to scrap our hearts out. I know I will be creating layouts with Miracle paper. Check out my blog next week and see the pages I make. I plan on using flip flaps and making 3 or more layouts one level 2 paper pack. I can't believe how much bang we get for a buck with CTMH level 2 paper packs.

Also, one of my friends will be using Mayberry making a tissue box. I will share her amazing art work too.

Fanfare paper can be versitile. My club nick named "Shut the Front Door" made 3 of the layouts below. We even used an 8 inch flip flap. Feel free to print the following layouts and see what you can do.

This picture is the left page of the Fanfare Workshop on the Go. I adjusted it some and added a flip flap. I love the way more pictures can be used. I like to use all my pics.

Helpful Hints: Cardmaking Projects

Wishes: Long Layers™

Card 1
Card 2
Card 3
•Use dimensions on page 81 of Wishes™ and this cutting guide to cut papers. (Cut two of each measurement listed in Wishes for each card design.)
•Punch scalloped circles for Cards 2 and 3 as follows: two on striped B&T Duos® paper and four on White Daisy cardstock.
•Stamp cupcake bases on Card 1 with second generation and Pacifica ink.
•For frosting images on Card 1 and cone image on Card 2, stamp image using second generation technique and any ink color on back of black diamond B&T Duos® paper. Trim.
•Assemble cards according to pattern on page 81.
•Thread buttons with embroidery floss. Layer as desired.
•Attach cut-out frosting images, cut-out cone images, and buttons. For added dimension, use 3-D foam tape as desired.

Technique Class

In May I went to a consultant team meeting and learned some new techniques that I would love to share with you. Let me know if you are interested and I will set up a card class using these techniques.
